How the Jewellery is made!

My initial designs have been equine related focusing on the horseshoe and nails.  The process of getting to the finished necklace and earrings goes through several stages.

The first stage is thinking how I could use the horseshoe shape and nails in an innovative and interesting design and creating the drawing to be produced on to CAD.

The drawing is then transferred on to CAD design ready for the next stage of moulding and casting process.

Finally, the cast piece goes off to the finisher for polishing.  What a change there is between the cast piece and the final finished article as can be seen from the photographs.

It’s very exciting for me to see the journey of my jewellery from conception of my initial design drawing on paper to the finished article.
